Savile Row Last stand

After several months of tensions and arguments between the Band, the idea of a Beatles live concert was planned, but each member had his own demands; Eventually, they decided an improvised live concert on the rooftop of Apple Corps building at 3 Savile Row in Mayfair. The weather was cold and windy. Stockings were used to protect the microphones, Ringo and John wore their wives'coats while George warmed up his fingers with cigarettes. The performance lasted 42 minutes, Versions of Get Back, Don't let me down and I ve got a feeling coud be heard in the neigborhood from their balconies and windows. This concert was unauthorized but the police gave the order to stop. John Lennon concluded with these words : "I hope we've passed the audition".
